PRESS RELEASE: Minimum Security Incarcerated Individual Apprehended

TUMWATER – 33-year-old Christopher Brinkley, was apprehended on September 3, 2024, in Seattle, and is back in custody with the Washington State Department of Corrections where he will be placed in restrictive housing. The case will be referred to local prosecutors to pursue charges.

On August 30, 2024, Brinkley escaped from Correctional Industries (CI) Headquarters in Tumwater, WA on August 30, 2024.

Brinkley was incarcerated at Cedar Creek Corrections Center, a minimum security facility in Littlerock, WA and was at CI headquarters as part of his approved work program. He was convicted in King County earlier this year of tampering with a witness and protection order violation and had an earned release date of June 16, 2026.
