News Spotlight: Washington State Department of Corrections Expands Emergency Operations to Address Nationwide Tuberculosis Medication Shortage

The Washington State Department of Corrections (DOC) is utilizing its existing emergency operations center to enhance its response to the nationwide shortage of tuberculosis medication. By taking this approach the Department is better able to access external resources that would otherwise be unavailable in order to continue providing the best possible healthcare to those within DOC care and custody. DOC is working closely with the Washington State Department of Health (DOH) and Centers for Disease Control (CDC) in response to the nationwide medication shortage.
