CONNELL — An escapee from minimum security the Coyote Ridge Corrections Center (CRCC) facility near Connell in eastern Washington is back in custody. 29-year-old Joshua Michael Lanter (DOC 414951), was discovered missing early this morning during routine checks. Lanter appears to have escaped by climbing over a fence. He was apprehended in Spokane early Monday afternoon.
Spokane Police Department assisted in the arrest. Also, teams from DOC’s Community Response Unit, the Inmate Recovery Team from Coyote Ridge Corrections Center, Connell Police Department, Franklin County Sheriff Department, and the Washington State Patrol assisted in the search.
Lanter had a release date of September 2022 for convictions from King and Snohomish County for Robbery, Burglary, Malicious Mischief and Taking a Motor Vehicle Without Permission.
