TUMWATER – On Thursday, February 10, 2022, at the Clallam Bay Corrections Center, Washington State Department of Corrections (DOC) Health Services staff identified that during an on-site vaccine clinic, a medication, Regen Cov, used to treat COVID-19 patients, had been administered to 23 incarcerated individuals and one staff member instead of a COVID-19 vaccine dose.

All individuals who received the medication were notified and assessed by medical staff. No serious adverse reactions have been identified, however, the department will continue to monitor all incarcerated individuals for any additional health concerns. The department has initiated a thorough review of the incident.
