UPDATED 07/22/2019, 3:30 p.m. – Jeffrey Allen Beach was apprehended safely and without incident at 2:30 p.m. at a private residence in the Kirkland area. Beach is being transferred to a state correctional facility for questioning and pending investigation.

The Department of Corrections' Community Response Unit worked in close partnership with other agencies, including Kirkland Police Department and Seattle Police Department, and greatly values and thanks its public safety partners.

LITTLEROCK – Washington Department of Corrections and local law enforcement are searching for an inmate, Jeffrey Allen Beach, 29, who escaped from a Correctional Industries work crew working at the Washington Department of Transportation-Ferries warehouse in Seattle, Wash., at approximately 10:46 a.m. on Friday, July 19, 2019.

Correctional employees initiated escape procedures. The facility notified local and state law enforcement, and deployed the community response unit.

Jeffrey Allen Beach (377952) was convicted of theft of a motor vehicle, possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of stolen property 2, and identify theft out of King County and began serving his 43 month sentence on March 19, 2019. His expected release date had been tentatively set for March 14, 2021.
