ABERDEEN – Stafford Creek Corrections Center recently held a day of mock job interviews at the prison to help inmates prepare for reentering society.

It was an opportunity for inmates to learn how to present themselves to a potential employer and get feedback on their interviews.

“Many of us have never had a job interview. Many of us have never had a job in the free world, so this is the only experience we’re going to have between now and when we go home. It’s priceless,” one inmate said.

The mock interviews are part of the Correctional Industries’ Inmate Workforce Development Program.
